Nothing Happening?

I was getting a bit frustrated as I am sitting with my spirit team daily. Some days I am getting interesting messages and other days, nothing. Yesterday, I was thinking the session was a waste of time. I couldn't feel my team and thought that absolutely nothing was happening. As soon as I thought that, I heard "that's what you think." I loved this message so will continue the journey.

Marilyn, I’m only just seeing this post now, as I unfortunately wasn’t notified when it was posted — but I’m very glad I found it. What a wonderful recognition. And perhaps the most important part of the experience wasn’t even the words, “that’s what you think,” but what they revealed. We can so easily measure a sitting by what we receive — a message, a feeling, an impression, something we can identify and say, “Yes, something happened.” But the absence of something noticeable does not necessarily mean the absence of relationship. Some sittings may be filled with communication. Others may simply be time spent becoming familiar with the relationship itself — learning its rhythm, becoming more receptive, and gradually releasing the expectation that something must happen for the sitting to have value. In many ways, that thought — “nothing is happening” — may have created the very moment that allowed you to recognize something you hadn’t recognized before. Keep going, Marilyn. Not because every sitting needs to produce something, but because the relationship is not measured only by what it produces. ❤️
