A Common Question
What is the Oversoul?
Answer
The Oversoul is the component of essence through which continuity is preserved across multiple distinct Higher Selves and the incarnational expressions belonging to them.
Its reach also includes the many expressions associated with an individual Higher Self, including separate incarnations and the trajectories through which an incarnation may unfold.
These levels should not be confused.
One Higher Self does not become several Higher Selves merely because it expresses through several incarnations.
One incarnation does not necessarily become several incarnations because its trajectory branches.
And the Oversoul does not take over the governing function of the Higher Self simply because it encompasses a wider range.
What has been lived remains consequential without being redistributed into a single identity.
The record is not somewhere else.
It belongs to the continuity within which the lives themselves occurred.
Introduction
Human life is encountered from a narrow viewpoint.
One body. One history. One immediate world of people and circumstances. One course through events that appears to move from birth toward death.
That viewpoint is not an error.
It is what allows a human life to be lived from within.
But what is immediately available to one human identity does not reveal the full scale to which that life belongs.
The Higher Self gave us individual spiritual identity.
The Oversoul introduces another question.
How can many expressions, trajectories, incarnations, and distinct Higher Selves belong within something greater without becoming either isolated fragments or one undifferentiated identity?
The answer requires continuity.
