Evidential Mediumship

What Makes Evidence Strong in a Mediumship Reading?

The Quality of Evidence Matters

Not all mediumship evidence is created equal. The difference between a life-changing reading and a disappointing one often comes down to the specificity and quality of the evidence delivered. Understanding what makes evidence strong helps both mediums and sitters recognize genuine spirit communication.

Weak vs. Strong Evidence

Weak Evidence: - 'I sense a father figure' (too general) - 'They loved you very much' (universal statement) - 'I see the color blue around you' (vague, unverifiable) - 'They want you to know they're at peace' (common message without identification)

Strong Evidence: - 'Your father, Thomas, who passed from a heart condition in his early sixties' (specific, verifiable) - 'He's showing me his workshop in the garage — he was always building things' (personal, identifiable) - 'He's mentioning your daughter's wedding last month — he was there' (post-passing, current) - 'He's laughing about the time you both got stuck in the rain at the football match' (unique shared memory)

What Makes Evidence Strong

Specificity: The more specific the detail, the stronger the evidence. 'A man' is weak; 'your grandfather Albert who was a baker in Manchester' is strong.

Verifiability: The sitter must be able to confirm or deny each piece. Unverifiable information, however impressive it sounds, isn't evidence.

Uniqueness: Evidence that could only apply to one specific person is far stronger than general statements that fit many people.

Current References: Information about what's happening in the sitter's life NOW proves ongoing awareness and is among the most powerful evidence.

Layered Building: Strong readings build identification through multiple layers — physical description PLUS personality PLUS specific identifiers — creating an unmistakable portrait of one unique person.
